Bury/Bolton ME/CFS & Fibromyalgia Support Group How To Join Us

Membership susbscriptions and donations are vital in enabling us to continue our work.

Whilst we primarily focus on ME/CFS, many of us have Fibromyalgia as well, so we are also working with The Fibromyalgia Association UK (FMA UK), and welcome anyone with the condition.

The Bolton FM support group has unfortunately closed. We have local knowledge, books in our library, and access to FMA UK resources. Many of the symptoms and some advice is the same (pacing, etc), so many of the articles in the newsletter will hopefully be useful to someone with Fibromyalgia.

You can now pay online, by bank transfer, or by standing order. Membership is Ł10 per year, from April to April. Please see the membership form for payment details.

If you choose to pay by Standing Order, please be advised that if you leave the group, it is your responsibility to cancel it from your end, we are unable to do it. You can download the Standing Order form here. It is also in the membership form.

Once we receive your form, we will send you a welcome pack which includes:

The Canadian Expert Consensus ME/CFS Diagnosis Guidelines (helpful to take to your GP perhaps)

recent newsletters

our current library list

a list of the Benefit and Work guides available

and several pages of helpful local and national information.

If you have Fibromyalgia, you will also receive:

an Arthritis Research UK booklet on Fibromyalgia

FMA UK's information booklet

and an very good Arthritis UK GP guide on FM to pass on to your GP.

You will then start to receive our monthly newsletters via email or post, depending on your preference.

Membership runs from April 1st to March 31st each year, and currently costs Ł10 per year. We would be grateful if you could send in your renewal forms by May of each year please.
